KSER Fundrive
Community makes public radio possible
That's all it takes to bring you more adventurous music and independent news than ever before.
Thanks to the listeners who made a donation during our Fall fund drive. We received over $40,000 in donations during the drive, plus $8,360 in Challenge money, making this the most successful Fall drive since 2007!
We are now just $18,358 short of qualifying for a grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
As you may have heard, KSER is close to regaining our funding from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). Last year that grant was worth over $65,000 to stations of KSER’s size. That’s money that goes directly to the programs you and thousands of other listeners enjoy every day.
Funding from CPB is based on reaching a certain threshold of LOCAL financial support. The final hurdle is here: just under $7000 in listener donations by the end of the year will bring you more of the independent, local public radio you love most.
That’s where you come in. |
Your donation to KSER means more music for you. Right now we're paying royalties for all the music we play. CPB funding would cover all those costs.
Your donation supports the independent news programs you value most, like Democracy Now, Alternative Radio, Counterspin, Left, Right & Center, and The Takeaway. Grants from CPB go directly to programs such as these.
And CPB funding means more of your money goes to the great local coverage of Snohomish and Island County that you get only on KSER.
But it all depends on you.
Can you make a donation of $100 or more to support the programs you care about?
