May 31 – Mark Brombaugh presents a recital on the pedal harpsichord
(two large instruments used together, one above the other).
Christ Episcopal Church, Tacoma. 7:30 pm. Dr. Brombaugh plays great
baroque music on a pedal harpsichord built by Hill & Tyre of Grand Rapids.
There are only a few of these instruments in the United States.

Consisting of two large harpsichords, they are used together, one at floor level
played by organ-like pedals, and the other a normal double-manual
instrument placed above it, played by the hands. Enjoy an effervescent
evening of music by Bach, Vivaldi, Couperin and Buxtehude on this unique
and colorful instrument in the splendid acoustics of Christ Episcopal Church.
