Classical Edge - Tue 10:30pm & Sun 4am

Hi, My Good Associates,   Three new composers to CE tonight.
The St. Luke Passion by Penderecki is the main piece for the program. I would say that there is a high likelihood that you would not hear that piece live in Seattle. You might not even hear it on local radio. On "internet radio", that is a different story. Now you are listening to the world. There is even a good possibility that you have never heard it before, by any means, including a CD recording. This is not a easy piece to listen to. It is to the listener a lot like an opera, which makes it more difficult for me to listen to because, ( you know why) oh, I have told you that before... So when St. Luke starts, turn up both your concentration and open musical mind (oh, sorry, none of us have "open minds", especially, I speak for myself).
